PLANS CHANGED

The bus travel went a little bit different then expected...:
I planned to go to the 4000 islands which are all the way down to the south of Laos, so from Vang Vieng this would take me about 22 hours. With a tuktuk I was picked up by the hostel and there were more people coming in there. Untill it was full with only dutch people. We were just chatting a little bit about the usual things. By the bus station we changed to a minivan and this time I had a good place so the hours in there were much more comfortable then the last minivan. After a few hours we had to wait for 1,5 hour for the sleeping bus at a big bus station in Vientiane. When I was eating together with some other dutch people the boy next to me told me that he would do the Thakhek Loop, something I read about and really would love to do, but I've never driven a scooter before so I couldn't do it. Then he (Milan) said that I just could jump on the back of his scooter. I didn't have to think long about this opportunity and we decided to go on this adventure together.
Thakhek was about 8 hours from Vientiane, and we arrived here at 2 AM. So I just got of the bus like 12 hours earlier then expected. In the sleeping bus you share a very small bed with a stranger, and just tried to sleep (didn't really succeed). When we got at the travel lodge we had to wake-up people to hear they where full. But we had to sleep and it wasn't really an option to look for another place so we asked if we could lay down on the wooden benches. I didn't sleep good (maybe you can imagine...) but I still was sure this was a good decision. The next morning we woke up very early because we were sleeping outside and after a shower and breakfast we rented a motorbike and started the Loop!
I'll write several posts about the Thakhek Loop. It was amazing!! Best decision ever to go there with Milan.
