We've travelled for 33 (!!!!) hours to go from Chiang Mai to Koh samui. It was insane and we were so exhausted when we finally arrived (in a small paradise!). First we took a 12 hour bus from Chiang Mai to Bangkok, there we arrived at a huge chaotic busstation and when we wanted to book a bus to somewhere to the south everything was full booked. EVERYTHING. Also for the next few days. Unbelievable. We got the tip to go to the other busstation in Bangkok so we took a taxi to go there. Also all busses seemed full, but there was one bus to Suratthani that evening with free places. One hour and much stress later we were on the night bus and 10 hours later we got there. Then we had to book a boatticket but we were brought to the wrong places several times and it really was not fun anymore. Finally a very kind man said where the right station was and from there we had to take another bus (1,5 hour) and then the boat (2,5 hour). At Koh samui we had to take a songtaew with 8 others and we almost couldn't smile anymore. So hot. So tired. But we made it!! After we had to walk another 1,5 kilometers and we almost couldn't walk with our heavy bags in 30 degrees. And then we got to paradise and it was soooo good. Best hotel ever. The people where so nice and the swimming pool was on point. That's what we needed after 33 hours.
